Florida International Engineering has extensive experience with Underground Storage Tanks as a full service consultant for the petroleum industry. Regularly assisting clients, we perform all aspects of the closure process including permitting, tank excavation and removal, applicable soil sampling, assessments, remediation and report preparation.

Regulatory requirements for Underground Storage Tank Closures vary slightly from state to state. We stay well informed of all applicable requirements. If we detect a petroleum release above regulatory standards, we will perform the applicable site assessment and/or site characterization. When necessary, we will develop a corrective action plan to remediate petroleum contaminated soil and groundwater to below applicable standards. Recommended remedial activities may include active techniques such as soil venting or groundwater air sparging, or it may involve Risk Based Corrective Action, such as contaminant Fate and Transport Modeling combined with periodic groundwater monitoring. When active remediation is required for petroleum contaminant cleanup, Florida International Engineering is experienced with the most current Remediation System Design including but not limited to, red-ox injection, hydraulic control, soil vapor extraction, air-sparging, bio-remediation, solidification and landfill disposal.
